Park City offers skiing, snowboarding and other winter sports on 4,000 skiable acres on the Wasatch Mountains. This pretty resort area is a consistent favorite ski and recreational activity area. It has its roots in the Frontier boomtown taming of the Old West and made its first mark as the birthplace of dozens of millionaires from one of the country’s largest silver veins. In the 1980’s it came back to life as one the country’s most popular ski resort and recreational towns. When the Sundance Film Festival moved here, it climbed to fame and every year since in January the town swells with film buffs, celebrities and independent filmmakers.

The skiing and snowboarding here is world class, and it rose to acclaim as such in the 2002 Winter Games when Park City hosted the event. The local Olympic Park Utah continues to train current and former Olympic medalist and known for its ski-jump and training exhibitions as well as its sport clinics and labs.

There are local adventure excursion companies that will help you outfit and guide your ski and snow boarding adventure, you can even find dog sledding and snowmobiling adventures as well as the horse drawn or Snow Cat drawn sleigh rides.
